Forum Rules
When you register to post on this message board you agree to abide by the board's rules. The current board rules are listed here:
(1) Your registration details must be complete and accurate or your account will be deleted. Accounts may be deleted if no post is made within 28 days after registration.
(2) Members may not hold more than one account. Anyone caught using multiple accounts may be banned. Second accounts will be closed and you'll receive a warning.
(3) Language: The use of profanities is not permitted on any part of the forums including Avatars & Signatures. The moderators are solely responsible for deciding what constitutes as a profanity. Attempts to bypass the censor program in any way may lead to a warning.
(4) No assaults against a member's name or character. Please be respectful of all members of the posting community. Abuse or harassment of members will not be tolerated.
(5) Audio or video may only be used in posts if the user is required to click to begin playback. Audio or video is not allowed in signatures, or if playback begins automatically.
(6) Pictures may be posted by BB Code only. Excessive posting of pictures is considered spamming, as it increases page loading time.
(7) Avatars - should not exceed 150 x 150 pixels, and may be replaced by a standard board avatar if they do not.

(8) Signatures - should be no more than 400 pixels in height (including text).

- total graphic content should not exceed 300kB.
- should have no more than one line of scrolling text, and this is to be 250 characters max.

(9) Board Discipline - Create topics with clear topic titles indicative of the content within. Unclear topic titles may be edited for clarity. When posting, please keep to the topic of the thread as much as possible. Off topic posts may be deleted or moved without warning.
- Threads that are located in the wrong forum will either be closed or moved to the correct forum.
- Spamming will not be tolerated, and will be deleted. Spamming includes any post that is made solely to increase your post count, such as only posting smilies, one or two word posts, or posting a reply when one is not required.
- if you post a thread that has spoilers in it for a new movie or TV show please insert the word "SPOILERS" in the title
- members with a warning level in excess of 100% face an escalating scale of account suspensions.
- persons creating accounts primarily for the purpose of disrupting the community (trolling), or persons creating accounts to support those disrupting the community, will be banned.
- The posting of and linking to pornographic images or text is expressly forbidden.
- Images, topics and posts with sexual themes, content or references will be judged on an individual basis.
- No polls or topics which invite members to rate or rank other members in such a way that there are clear losers. Other similar topics that rate or rank members will be judged by the moderators on an individual basis, and may be closed.
- All content and images, including signatures, used in public forums must be appropriate for all age groups.
- Posting private pictures of anyone without their consent is forbidden. This includes all private pictures of Emma, any celebrity, or any person who has not given permission for their pictures to be posted. Any pictures posted will be judged on an individual basis by the moderating team and may be removed without warning. If you have any doubt over a picture, please contact a moderator before posting it.
(10) Members under the age of 13 should not post personally identifiable information. However, all members are reminded to be careful when posting personal information as these forums are viewable to everyone.
(11) People claiming to be, or know, Emma Watson either personally or by association, may be excluded from the board unless they can support their claims. Members must contact an Administrator before making such claims.
- People claiming to be connected with any other celebrity, either personally or by association, may be excluded from the board unless they can support their claims. Members must contact a Moderator before making such claims.
- People claiming to be someone else, either through text or pictures, may be excluded from the board.
(12) Advertising is only permitted where such advertisments are of genuine interest to members. Creating topics or posts solely for the promotion of websites is not permitted. Members registering on the forums for the primary purpose of advertising will be banned.
(13) The Moderators - are authorised by emmawatson.net to decide, as a group, how the board is to be run. Any member who ignores an official request made by a moderator will receive one strike or warning against their account. Any attacks directed against a moderator carrying out their duties will result in an immediate ban.
(14) Members should not use the board to promote or glorify illegal activities, or to seek or publish information intended to aid or abet any crimes or criminal activities.
(15) Spam - Members should not use the PM or email system to send spam or junk messages, either singly or in bulk. Spam includes any message sent which would not realistically be of interest to the recipient. The moderating team shall decide what does or does not constitute spam.
(16) Hotlinking - or remote linking to images or files located on other servers should not be undertaken unless the owner of that site has expressly given permission to do so. Each member accepts responsibility for hotlinked images, and any replacement image (pornographic or otherwise) that is substited by hotlink prevention software on the remote server.
(17) English - should only used on this board. Posts made in foreign languages, excluding commonly known cyphers, codes, and common phrases will be closed, moved or deleted without warning.
(18) Accounts - will be closed if so requested by the account holder. Closed accounts cannot be reopened.
(19) Private Forums - may be created at the discretion of the global moderators for the personal use of members who have (1) achieved the status of Senior Member or higher and (2) have a warning level not exceeding 20%.
- Unprotected private forums must abide by the General Board Rules.
- Forums subject to age restrictions must be password protected, and the owner will accept responsibility for ensuring that underage members do not gain access.
- Forum owners are free to establish rules within their own forum so long as they do not supersede or compromise those contained herein.
- Forum owners must not abuse their moderator privileges, nor use their powers to discriminate against other members.
- Global moderators will retain the rights and responsibilities of dealing with members who breach rules applicable to any private forum.
- Forums unused for 28 days or more will be deleted.
- Forums will be suspended if they are unvisited or unmoderated by their owner for any period exceeding 10 days. This excludes vacations which should be notified in advance to a Super Moderator.
- Private forums repeatedly suspended for failure to adhere to these terms may be permanently suspended or deleted.
- Any private forum may be suspended or deleted by the moderatoring team if they consistently fail to stay within their subject area, threaten to bring emmawatson.net into disrepute, or contain illegal, racist or immoral material.
- Global moderators may enter any private forum, whether password protected or otherwise, to ensure that the members and content remain withinin the terms herein.
(20) Display names - may be changed once every 90 days via the members' Control Panel. All display names, including those at registration, must not exceed 20 characters.
(21) PM System - members should not use the Block List feature of the PM system to prevent any moderator from sending them a PM. Any member found to have blocked a moderator will automatically receive a 48 hour suspension.
